As a North Carolina nonprofit, ASHF's mission is care — not profit. Every decision we make prioritizes resident wellbeing, staff excellence, and community trust.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we reinvest in our communities rather than extracting profit. Residents and families benefit from that difference every day.
Our Kernersville campus puts IL, AL, and MC within ½ mile of each other. When care needs change, residents transition within the family — not to strangers.
Our teams are led by long-tenured community directors promoted from within — people who know residents by name and genuinely love this work.
Licensed nurses, medication administration, and individualized care plans ensure every resident receives the right care at the right level.
Real food, made fresh. Several communities feature Registered Dietician-designed menus with special diet accommodations and a dining experience that feels like home.
We prioritize discharge placements from Forsyth, Guilford, Alamance, and surrounding counties. Fast response, clean paperwork, and a team that makes your job easier.
Discharge planners, social workers, and case managers — use this quick-reference to match your patient to the right ASHF community. Call our admissions line for fast response.
ADL support needs (bathing, dressing, mobility), medication management, 24-hour supervision. Cognitively largely intact. Does not require secured memory care environment.
Alzheimer's disease, dementia (any stage), wandering risk, behavioral disturbances, exit-seeking. Requires secured environment, structured programming, and staff trained in dementia care.
Medically stable, ADL-independent, seeking community living with social programming and maintenance-free apartments. Ideal for patients not yet needing hands-on care.
My mother is there and I wouldn't want her in any other place. From her experience she tells me that the services she gets are marvelous, and the staff treats her like family.
It's more than a place to live, it's a place called home. The warmth and peace of mind here at the Oaks is exactly what I imagined for my senior years.
We have a great director, activities coordinator, and maintenance manager. There are many activities and it is a safe, clean place. I'm thankful for a safe place.
Our team responds within 24 hours. Tours available 7 days a week at all communities. No pressure — just a conversation.
